The Port of Antwerp

In 2008 Antwerp was the 13th container port in the world.  The first terminals at the Delwaide Dock were located behind the locks at the right bank of the Scheldt. Later terminals were built before the locks, so that valuable travel time could saved, e.g. the North Sea Terminal. So far the Deurganck Dock is the last one to be built on the left bank.

Within the port containers often have to be moved from one terminal to another and we take care of part of this traffic by barge. However, we don't handle this traffic on a regular basis, but only on spot terms.

Apart from the classic inland navigation transports, we also handle container transports on the inland waterways of the Benelux countries.
